NAD D7050 Direct Digital Network Amplifier
Modern features, classic sound
NAD has been designing great-sounding audio gear for decades. Their integrated amplifiers have long been favorites in the audiophile community as well as with our customers. Now, they've combined their old-school sound with the modern convenience of digital music in their D 7050 Direct Digital Network Amplifier. With built-in Wi-Fi, a host of digital source options, and robust amplification, this amp can bring all your music together to make your speakers sing with classic NAD sound.
Built-in Wi-Fi
When it comes to music listening, nothing beats the convenience of wireless streaming — as long as you don't have to jump through too many hoops to get there. That's why the D 7050 offers lots of ways to get the music playing easily and quickly. Built-in Wi-Fi lets you get connected to your wireless home network without running an Ethernet cable from your router. But if a wired connection suits your needs, there's an Ethernet port on the rear panel, too.
AirPlay and Bluetooth on board
The D 7050 features built-in Apple AirPlay, so you can stream music from your iPhone® or iPad®, including from apps like Spotify® and YouTube™. If you have a networked computer running iTunes®, you can also use AirPlay to send music from your music library to the D 7050 for playback. If your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same network as your computer, than use the Apple Remote app to control iTunes playback. Even without AirPlay or Wi-Fi, you can enjoy instant wireless music streaming over Bluetooth from any compatible smartphone, tablet, or computer.
24-bit/96kHz asynchronous USB input
Not interested in wireless streaming? You can still use your computer as a music source by connecting it to the D 7050's asynchronous USB input. This connection improves your computer's sound and is capable of playing high-resolution music files for sound quality that even trumps CDs. There are also optical and coaxial digital inputs that feed this amp's high-quality digital-to-analog converter (DAC) for sound that's silky smooth.
NAD's innovative direct digital technology
NAD first introduced "direct digital" technology on their highly acclaimed M2 integrated amplifier. By eliminating analog signal paths between the digital converter and the output stage, NAD prevents these noisy circuits from introducing distortion that degrades sound quality. So your music remains as pure as possible from the source all the way to your speakers. Plus, NAD's innovative "closed-loop" design compares the input signal with the output signal, compensating for any differences before sending it out to your speakers. It's a highly efficient design, allowing for a compact enclosure you can stand vertically on a bookshelf or desk or place horizontally in a component rack or cabinet.
